1. About Calnel
Calnel is a software service that helps users connect calendars they are authorized to access, combine them into a unified view, create privacy-filtered channels, and publish read-only calendar feeds for use in third-party calendar applications. Calnel does not replace the user's source calendar and is designed not to write changes back to connected calendars unless a future feature is expressly introduced and separately disclosed.
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Calnel website, application, APIs, calendar feeds and related services (the Service).
2. Eligibility and account
You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you use Calnel on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
You are responsible for keeping access to your Calnel account secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Calnel may support sign-in through third-party identity providers such as Google or Microsoft. Their terms also apply to your use of those providers.
3. Calendars and permissions
You may connect only calendars, accounts and feeds that you own, control, or are otherwise authorized to access and process.
You remain responsible for the calendar information you connect to Calnel and for how you configure and share your channels. In particular, you should review each channel's privacy rules before sharing its feed.
Calnel is designed around read-only calendar access. Events should normally be created, edited or deleted in the original calendar provider. Provider outages, revoked permissions, API changes or synchronization delays may temporarily affect the accuracy or freshness of data shown by Calnel or published through a channel.
4. Channels and shared feeds
A Calnel channel may combine one or more connected calendars and apply rules such as full details, busy/availability only, a custom label, or disabled sharing for a source.
A channel feed is read-only. A recipient generally does not need a Calnel account and may subscribe to the feed using a compatible calendar application. Anyone who obtains a valid private feed link may be able to access the information intentionally exposed through that channel. You are responsible for sharing feed links only with intended recipients.
You can rotate or revoke a sharing link. Once revoked, the old link should stop receiving updates, although third-party calendar applications may retain previously synchronized copies for some period outside Calnel's control.
5. Free trial
Calnel may offer a free trial. The current trial duration and any conditions are shown on the website and/or before you start the trial.
If no payment method is collected during the trial, access to paid features may end when the trial expires unless you subscribe. If a trial is offered with automatic conversion to a paid subscription, that fact, the price, renewal interval and cancellation method will be clearly disclosed before you confirm the trial.
We may limit repeated or abusive use of free trials.
6. Paid subscription, prices and renewal
Paid Calnel plans are generally offered as annual subscriptions unless the checkout states otherwise. The applicable price, currency, taxes and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Prices may differ by market or currency.
If your subscription is recurring, it renews automatically for the renewal period shown at checkout until you cancel it. You may cancel future renewal through the billing settings or the payment flow made available to you. Unless applicable law or a specific offer states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the already-paid subscription period.
We may change prices for future purchases or renewals. Where required, we will provide advance notice. A price change does not retroactively alter a subscription period that has already been paid.
Payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. Their services are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
7. Refunds and consumer rights
Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in an offer, paid fees are non-refundable for the subscription period already purchased.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights. If you are a consumer and applicable law gives you a withdrawal, cancellation, refund or other statutory right, that right remains available to the extent required by law. Any request for immediate provision of a digital service or acknowledgement concerning withdrawal rights applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Calnel unlawfully or infringe third-party rights;
- connect or process calendars you are not authorized to access;
- attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits or security controls;
- probe, scan or attack the Service except under an expressly authorized security testing program;
- distribute malware or use Calnel to facilitate abuse, harassment or fraud;
- scrape or overload the Service in a way that materially interferes with other users;
- resell or white-label the Service unless we expressly agree otherwise.
9. Intellectual property
Calnel, including its software, design, trademarks and documentation, is owned by the operator or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain rights in the calendar data and other content you provide. You grant Calnel only the limited rights necessary to process that data for the purpose of operating, securing and improving the user-facing Service in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
10. Third-party services
Calnel depends on third-party services, including calendar providers, hosting, authentication and payment services. Examples may include Google, Microsoft, Apple/iCloud, Supabase, Vercel and Stripe.
Third-party services may change, become unavailable, impose limits or terminate access. We are not responsible for third-party services themselves, but we will use reasonable efforts to maintain Calnel's integrations.
11. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to provide a reliable Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security incidents, internet failures or calendar-provider outages may affect availability or synchronization.
We may add, modify or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces a paid Service, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users where appropriate.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Calnel at any time and may delete your account from the product where that feature is available.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security risk, misuse the Service, fail to pay amounts due, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Account deletion may permanently remove your Calnel data and revoke active sharing links as described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion may not remove information independently retained by third-party providers or recipients' calendar applications.
13. Disclaimer
Calnel is a coordination and calendar-routing tool. It is not intended for emergency, safety-critical, medical, legal, financial or other use where a synchronization delay or incorrect availability status could cause serious harm.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that provider data will always be complete, current or error-free.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calnel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, loss of profit or revenue, or losses caused by third-party calendar providers, recipient misuse of a feed link, or reasonable synchronization delays.
Where a monetary limitation is permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the fees you paid to Calnel during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Calnel Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is part of the information provided with the Service and should be read together with these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves or legal requirements change. We will publish the new version with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, email or another appropriate method where required.
Your continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel future renewal.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Usti na Labem, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections granted by the law of their habitual residence where applicable.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at support@calnel.app so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Consumers may also have access to statutory alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in their country.
